What Time is it in Turkey?

Turkey operates on Turkey Time (TRT), which is 3 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+3). Since 2016, Turkey has used permanent "summer time" and does not observe daylight saving time, maintaining the same time year-round.

All of Turkey follows the same timezone, spanning from Istanbul in the west to the eastern border with Iran. Major cities including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, and Bursa all observe the same time.

Fun Fact

Istanbul is the only city in the world that spans two continents—Europe and Asia. Turkey has one of the youngest populations in Europe, with over half its citizens under the age of 30. The country is home to one of the oldest known settlements in human history, Çatalhöyük, dating back 9,000 years.
