What Time is it in Myanmar?

Myanmar operates on Myanmar Standard Time (MMT), which is 6 hours and 30 minutes ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+6:30). This is one of only a few countries using a half-hour offset timezone. Myanmar does not observe daylight saving time.

Major cities including Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyidaw (the capital), and Bagan all follow MMT. Myanmar's timezone is unique in Southeast Asia, falling between India (UTC+5:30) and Thailand (UTC+7).

Fun Fact

Myanmar is one of only three countries using a half-hour timezone (along with India, Iran, and Afghanistan). The country is also one of only three nations that haven't adopted the metric system (alongside the US and Liberia). Myanmar's ancient city of Bagan contains over 2,000 Buddhist temples and pagodas built between the 9th and 13th centuries.
