What Time is it in Netherlands?

The Netherlands operates on Central European Time (CET) during winter months, which is 1 hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+1). During daylight saving time, observed from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October, the Netherlands switches to Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is UTC+2.

All of the European Netherlands follows the same timezone. Major cities including Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, and Eindhoven all observe the same time. Note that the Caribbean Netherlands uses Atlantic Standard Time (UTC-4).

Fun Fact

Amsterdam used to have its own unique time—Amsterdam Time—which was 19 minutes and 32.13 seconds ahead of GMT. The Netherlands standardized to Central European Time in 1940 and has kept it ever since, even though geographically the country aligns more closely with GMT.
