What Time is it in Norway?

Norway operates on Central European Time (CET) during winter months, which is 1 hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+1). During daylight saving time, observed from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October, Norway switches to Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is UTC+2.

All of mainland Norway follows the same timezone, from Oslo in the south to Tromsø and beyond in the Arctic north. Major cities including Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, and Stavanger all observe the same time.

Fun Fact

Norway extends so far north that parts of the country experience the Midnight Sun, where the sun doesn't set for months during summer, and Polar Night, where it doesn't rise during winter. Despite this extreme variation in daylight, Norway uses the same timezone throughout the country, unlike Russia which spans 11 timezones.
