Zimbabwe operates on Central Africa Time (CAT), which is 2 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+2). The country does not observe daylight saving time, so the offset remains constant throughout the year.
All of Zimbabwe follows the same timezone. Major cities including Harare, Bulawayo, Chitungwiza, and Mutare all observe CAT. Harare, the capital and largest city, is located in the northeast of the country and serves as the main commercial and political center.
Zimbabwe is home to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and the largest waterfall by combined width and height. The falls are known locally as "Mosi-oa-Tunya" meaning "The Smoke That Thunders." The country is also home to Great Zimbabwe, ancient stone ruins that gave the nation its name.
