What Time is it in Cameroon?

Cameroon operates on West Africa Time (WAT), which is 1 hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+1). The country does not observe daylight saving time, so the offset remains constant throughout the year.

All of Cameroon follows the same timezone. Major cities including Douala, Yaoundé, Garoua, and Bamenda all observe WAT. Yaoundé is the capital city, while Douala is the largest city and main economic hub.

Fun Fact

Cameroon is often called "Africa in Miniature" because it contains all of Africa's major landscapes and vegetation: beaches, deserts, mountains, rainforests, and savannas. The country is also one of the most linguistically diverse in the world, with over 250 native languages spoken alongside French and English as official languages.
